For over fifty years, Bennett Christopherson has been designing new homes and making sensitive remodels, retaining the flavor of homes of good or historic character, in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Much of his work is in the East Bay: Piedmont, Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, and other cities.

As a full service architect he and his small staff, prepare measured drawings of the existing home, then he works with the client generating design possibilities and estimating the range of costs for each phase of the process. After revising and fine-tuning the design, he and his staff prepare construction documents to present to the city for building permits—sometimes a complicated process, as each city and county has its own regulations and permitting procedures. He can help owners choose appropriate contractors and can review their work during the actual construction.
